How to Get Rid of Ingrown Hair and Prevent Infection

What is ingrown hair? A hair which grows back into the skin, causes infection or inflammation or creates a mass cyst is called an ingrown hair. The hair always grows inside the skin or it curls back inside, causing irritation or infection. There appears a small bump which is usually red in color, it sometimes fills with pus or excessive skin oil.   Therefore, it’s necessary that you take proper measures to keep your skin infection free.

Women with hormonal disorders are prone to have more ingrown hair due to hirsutism. There are some special ways to treat the condition for making skin flawless and soft. Usually your skin becomes rough and pigmented (possibly dark violet or blue in color) when there is hair growing inside it, but sometimes you don’t feel anything until a big cyst is formed outside.

Here is a simple guide and some masks on how to get rid of ingrown hair and prevent infection.

If you are feeling that hair is under the skin and irritating a lot when you touch the area, you might need to use apple cidar to treat the condition.

Take small cotton ball and dip it into enough apple cidar vinegar. Now apply it onto the affected area and leave it for overnight. When you wake up in the morning and wash your face you will notice that all hair has been come out of the skin.

Sometimes a big pile of dead skin cells cover the hair follicles and blocks its way. This ends up with a big infection, you can feel that hair is on the skin but blocked by something else.

Take one table spoon of sugar in a bowl, add one lemon and dissolve the granules in it. Mix it with two table spoons of olive oil and apply it onto ingrown hair. Your hair will turn out to be softer and infection free.

Apply tea tree oil onto ingrown hair regularly, it can kill the infection besides halting the growth. The oil can also reduce the length of hair gradually if used with dedication.

Dissolve some sea salt into warm water. Apply this mixture on hair using cotton ball and leave it for 40 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water, not only will this solution stops infection in hair follicles but also makes your skin soft and supple.

If you have lately observing too many ingrown hair inside your hair, you need to apply castor oil on the area. It does not usually treat hair but it provides deep moisturizer to the skin to keep hair softer and irritation-free.
