What are freckles? They are small pigmented spots on a certain part of face or body such as cheeks, chest, nose, neck and chin. They mostly appear around nose and cheek area on face because this part is particularly affected the most during excessive sun exposure.
Freckles are considered as damaged skin because they appear due to pigmentation within skin cells. Three common causes are as follows:
Sun Exposure: Nothing can harm your skin more than the sun rays can do. If you step out in the sun light without wearing your SPF lotion, your skin will definitely get burn and you may have to take care of for months to repair it. It’s very difficult to restore the skin tone after sun exposure because the sun damages deep layers and cells. Don’t opt for tanning unless you know how to make it work in a positive way.
Hormonal Changes: Some hormonal changes also result in skin discoloration, it happens when melanin production in skin cell is affected somehow due to changes taking place in the system. Always take good diet and keep an eye on your hormones in order to regulate your entire system.
Age: Though not always necessarily this one factor affected the skin but it may sometimes cause serious freckles on your skin if you don’t take proper care of it. Your skin usually needs more attention as you grow old so you have to start a beauty regime before freckles and fine lines begin to pop up.
Here are some useful tips on how to get rid of Freckles:
Lemon Juice or Vitamin C derivative
Either will work in the same way but vitamin C is way less harsh than the lemon juice. It’s not a good idea to squeeze a lemon juice and apply it onto the skin when it has so many issues such as dryness and acne. You needn’t apply drops as they are, they will cause itching sensation that might be unbearable. Instead mix juice in something else like in flour mask or oatmeal mask to make it work better.
Make a thick paste of juice with flour and apply it on your face to get rid of freckles.
Vitamin C derivative can be used at night to diminish the appearance of freckles. Just apply one or two drop of serum over night, you will see a big difference the next day. There is no need to massage serum because it is already in a bit oily texture to rejuvenate your skin tone.
Alpha Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid
These acids are made of organic products such as sugar and milk. They work as an effective skin peeler if applied in the right way. Buy cream that contains either Alpha glycolic acid or lactic acid and use it regularly for few weeks to see if your skin feels better.
Honey is a natural peeling agent, it does not damage your skin. Just buy a pure honey from the market and use one drop of it with one drop of lemon juice in the mask. Apply it on entire face but make a thick paste around and onto freckles, allow it to sit on skin for thirty minutes and wash off with luke warm water.
